Life Together

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Saint John has been privileged to be a part of our community since it's beginning. We're more than just neighbors, we're not just friends, we're family.

As times change and small rural towns face new challenges, we recognize that God still calls us to support and care for one another. This includes cooperating with our sister LCMS/IDW congregations in neighboring towns in the Mapleton and Denison Circuits.

St.John Neighborhood Park

A memorial gift made the addition of this new slide to St.John's neighborhood park in 2018. Much of the new playground equipment was designed, built, donated and installed by member volunteers. The park features swings, climbable Ten Commandments, Ark benches, trees, and a basketball hoop.

St.John's Park offers more than 86,900 square feet to play in before Sunday School or VBS,  after Church or Confirmation, or just for kids on the West Side of town without having to cross the highway to get to Charter Oak's City Park to the North.

With plenty of room for football, soccer or even softball, families may even consider having a picnic reunion. If you're an alum of either St. John's Lutheran Elementary School or Noah's Ark Pre-School, consider having your reunion here. Our Fellowship Hall is air conditioned and available for rentals.
